The following location names are the current location name in the official language of the current nation. If applicable, I use a common anglicized name but otherwise transliterate according to the American Library of Congress and provide the Cyrillic in parentheses.
In 1886, a bucket decorated with a deer was found while plowing near an eroded ditch in the village of Shirokovskoe (Широковское), which sits along the Mostovka River, a tributary of the Iset’ River (Darkevich 1976: 44). The village was located in the Shardinskii County, (Шардинский Уезд) of the Perm Governorate (Пермская Губерния) of the Russian Empire. The bucket alongside the contents of the Shakharovo hoard were sent together to the Imperial Archaeological Commission in the same year (OAK 1882-1888: 1891). The Commission then transferred the bucket to the Imperial Hermitage Museum. The bucket remains housed in the renamed State Hermitage Museum.
The village is presently called Shirokovo (Широково) and is located in the Shatrovskii District (Шатровский Район), Kurgan Province/Oblast’ (Курганская Область), Russian Federation. There is notably still a Shirokovskoe in the neighboring Dalmatovskii District (Далматовский Район) of the same Kurgan Oblast’.
