Betty Hensellek

I am an art historian, archaeologist, and designer. My research revolves around cross-cultural exchange and how people experienced material culture along the Silk Roads. Eurasiansilver.com grew out of my fascination with the provenance and collecting histories of silver under the Russian Empire and Soviet Union. I earned my PhD from the Department of the History of Art at Cornell University in 2020; my MA with distinction from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University in 2013; and my BA in Art History and BFA in Fine Arts, both summa cum laude, from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, University of Cincinnati in 2011.
